Tuesday Announcements 11/25: Thanksgiving, Giveaway to See Jonas Brothers, Upcoming Season 2...
A quick Tuesday update with a lot of heartbeat: we’re celebrating Thanksgiving week with a shot of good news, a big giveaway, and a sharper vision for what comes next. Eric shares how the Small Lake City Podcast is leveling up for Season Two, why community impact drives every choice we make, and how a late-night spark turned into a new format that brings local stories closer to your daily life.
We break down the Jonas Brothers ticket giveaway at the Maverick Center with Postfontaine and Live Nation and tell you exactly how to enter. Then we look ahead: Season Two lands in December with a guest who’s actively moving the needle in our city. Between seasons, we’ve been auditing what resonates, tightening segments, and designing a recurring piece that spotlights one person, one issue, and one simple way to get involved. It’s all about clarity, relevance, and momentum—so you can listen, learn, and act without friction.
There’s joy in the mix too. We’re lacing up for a turkey trot in Cottonwood Heights and inviting you to come run, say hi, and kick off the holiday with some energy. And we take a moment for gratitude—for the growth across the feed, the conversations that stayed with us, and the community that keeps showing up. If you love local stories, live music, and finding practical ways to help your neighborhood thrive, this one sets the table for a strong December.
Subscribe, share this update with a friend who’d love the giveaway, and leave a quick review telling us what you want more of in Season Two. Your feedback shapes the show—what should we build next?

What is up, everybody, and welcome back to another Tuesday update. It is me, Eric Nielsen, the host of the Small Lake City Podcast, and have a few things to announce for you all. First and foremost, happy Thanksgiving week. Hopefully, that you are all spending with someone you love, whether you're traveling home or traveling somewhere around here or hosting your own Thanksgiving dinner. First things first, want to announce a giveaway that is going on right now that will be ending on Thursday on Thanksgiving, is a giveaway for tickets to go see Jonas Brothers at Maverick Center, partnering with Jordan Schmidt's friend and homie, as well as Live Nation. So make sure to go enter there. All you have to do is go follow us, Postfontaine, Live Nation, comment who you're taking with you. And who knows, you could be seeing Jonas Brothers on Saturday. Also, as I've talked about, um, currently in this hiatus between season one and season two, uh, season two will kick off next weekend. So the first Saturday, I will announce the guest next week, but it's someone I'm excited about who does a ton for the community and has actually something going on in the community right now. So keep an eye out for that. Also, as I've been in the middle of season one and season two, been a lot of brainstorming on what I can do to bring better content to all of you and help the podcast be as impactful to the community as possible. And ironically, I had an epiphany last night of something that I want to do and will start doing um that I'm going to be recording this Saturday to set up for all of y'all. So keep an eye out for that. I'm excited to release it for you all. I think it's something that's gonna resonate with everybody. So uh that's coming up. Also excited for this Thursday to be running a turkey trot in Cottonwood Heights. So if you feel like you can come beat me, come join me and we'll see how it goes. But excited for a Thanksgiving. Also on that note, just want to give a quick voice of gratitude to all of you. Uh, it's been an amazing year of growth in the podcast, both um on social media and the podcast in general. Super grateful for all of you. Grateful to be able to tell the stories and sit down and converse with the people that I do. So lots more to come. I'm excited to announce it, but enjoy a Thanksgiving. Go eat as much as you can and then roll over to the couch and take a fantastic nap. So, yeah, catch you in December with season two dropping, and we'll see you from there.
