What is up everybody? Welcome back to another Tuesday update. It is me, eric Nilsson, the host of the Small Lake City podcast, and have a bunch of announcements coming up for all of you and ways for you to win some tickets this weekend. First and foremost, if you haven't listened to the most recent episode with Jacob Badsguard, go check it out. Sorry I released it a little bit late, but this is actually an episode that snuck up on me. Sorry I released it a little bit late, but this is actually an episode that snuck up on me. He's someone who started a marketing agency that's been really successful, and I thought our conversation was going to be about being an entrepreneur, marketing, building a company, but it was way more than that, turns out. We talk about some of my favorite topics around mental health being authentic in your daily life, how to be present, how to face feedback from people and make changes in your life to make sure that you're showing up for people and letting people be themselves as well. So if those are anything that relates with you or things that you're working on, go check it out. I really enjoyed this conversation and left still thinking about some of the topics that we covered, so go check that out. And left still thinking about some of the topics that we covered. So go check that out.
Speaker 1:Also, there are two shows this weekend that I want to make sure that you have an opportunity to get tickets to. So the first one is, on Saturday, mumford Sons at the Utah Amphitheater. I am excited about this. Last time I saw Mumford Sons was when I was doing summer sales shout out Vivint Bros in Austin Texas and saw it at. Sons was when I was doing summer sales. A shout out Vivint Bros in Austin, texas and saw it at the Speedway there. It was an amazing show. Really turned me on to Mumford Sons and unfortunately not going to be able to go, but check Instagram so you can win some tickets to that show for yourself. Now, the reason I am not going is because I am going to go see Subtronics at the Great Saltare with some other friends.
Speaker 1:If you're a big fan of EDM music, especially drum and bass, especially heavy bass music, it's going to be amazing. There is such a good lineup for this show. It's two days on Friday and Saturday. We have everything from Dr Fresh, muzz, ahi, lumasi, vail, tate B, easy Baked, 100 Drums, ok Jake Stash and Flow Zone. So if you're an EDM head, like I am, I haven't been to an EDM show this year yet. I'm way excited for this, so make sure to go check out the Instagram page to win some tickets there Now.
Speaker 1:Lastly, I want to introduce this week's guest. So if you spend a good amount of time on local content in Salt Lake, you've probably come across the account SLC Scoop. Now Scoop posts a lot about local news, things that are going on, a little bit of journalism also just a lot of antics and repost a lot of things on their stories, from fight videos and crashes and just videos that people send in. But they also have had a lot of interesting connections to being the people that film all of Youngboy NBA's music videos and do a lot of other things around the community. So we talk about how this was all built and started in some of their projects and also have another announcement for that episode that I'm going to include in the introduction as well. So that will be releasing this Saturday.
Speaker 1:On that note, I want to apologize to everybody. I was trying to make episodes release on Thursday, but it's just not happening with my schedule, so I'm going to go back to Saturday releases. But, yeah, that will be releasing this Saturday. If you haven't listened to Jacob Badzgaard yet, go check that out. Go enter the giveaway for some tickets this weekend. And, yeah, I will see you at Subtronics if you go. But it's going to be a great weekend, great weather, and I will see you there.
